Reach in back of the old keezer to find my wife must have slipped this in. Not sure of bottle on date.
Clear dark yellowish, poured with little head and very little lacing. Not much carbonation either so what was there faded quickly. Earthy smells, bready, grainy, and slight floral aroma with a touch of dankness.
Not much here but a decent IPA from my home town.
Just wonder how old it is so maybe another try when fresher but would probably only improve slightly.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear straw body.
The aroma is resin, grass and lemon.
The taste is a relatively mild bitterness for an American IPA, which is a nice change. Good balance.
The texture is crisp.
Enjoyable.

Appearance - Pours crystal clear and golden orange in color with a white, finger width head. Fair retention, then dissipates to a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds encircling the edge of the glass. Lacing is mostly spotty with a few streaks and decent stick.
Smell - Moderate aroma; floral notes with light citrus highlights and a vague, grainy undertone.
Taste - Follows the nose. Floral hops are found upfront and are backed by a healthy amount of malt flavor; mostly grainy with a touch of caramel. Hop bitterness kicks in near the finish with a touch of citrus pith and a strong grassy character.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slick, lightly velvety texture with a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Decent IPA, but not really my cup of tea. Too much grass and grain for my liking.
