500ml bottle. A clean and delicate Sussex bitter. Light caramel malt and floral hops with a nicely bitter finish. Not a stand-out but very pleasant. Would like to try on draught.

L- Pours mid-chestnut, clear with super-fine 5mm white head that's holding well.
S- Typical light toasty smell.
T- 'Classic bitter style'. Light roasty/toasty style, subtle hints of fruit, going into a good moderately hoppy-dry finish.
F- It's lovely. I was concerned at 4.0% it would lack presence, but it makes great use of that 4.0% platform to project a satisfying feel.
O- It's got flavour. it's got great balance (I notice zero out of place or line in this beer), it's hoppy-bright enough to be refreshing and hold the interest of my palate, it's head is holding very well (forming lacing down the sides) AND it's mild enough to be eminently sessionable. I think this is an very accomplished beer, and would happily buy it again.
500ml bottle, bought for me in Brighton (likely at Waitrose)

Stale tobacco. But of bite. Silky bordering on slimy.
