From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter from our friends across the pond----Cheers Keith and Julie!
This solid old ale pours a dark chestnut with nice head of off white big bubbled foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sport some light lacing. Nose of toasted malts,
subtle chocolate, light coffee, and nice English bittering hops. Flavors surpass the nose with
a fine presentation of coffee, light toffee, light chocolate, balanced caramel, and nice herbal
and floral bittering hops with excellent balance. Mouth feel is medium light, light carbonation,
smooth, and finishing moderately dry.
Overall, a SOLID old ale!
