Had on tap. Opaque very dark dark, virtually no head save an off-white ring. Huge rum barrel dominates the nose, dark fruits and burnt caramel linger. Taste is more in balance: rum soaked raisin, toasted caramel malt, light brown bread, molasses and sugar cane round out. Good dark and sweet boozy depth. Feel is very warm verging on hot, malt work breaks down a little as a result. Fun old ale with a rum twist
