Consumed at brewery, 03/03/08.
I'm just going to say this upfront: the beer was infected. In my 7+ years of being a craft beer aficionado, I have never been served a sour beer at a bar or brewpub. Wow.
Clear, moderate reddish brown beer. No carbonation apparent, but some lacing of the foam head.
Aroma is lightly smoky.
Flavor: SOUR. Think pickle juice. Ack! And when it warmed up for about 30 minutes, I tried it again. Mistake. Even the greatest lover of Flemish ales wouldn't have been able to choke this stuff down. I literally had to spit it out, as swallowing it suddenly seemed like a very, very bad idea.
On the plus side, mouthfeel was chewy and thick.
Utterly undrinkable.
