I am really enjoying all the beers thats this place is putting out. really great to find a small place that is consistently putting out quality. this robust porter was had a thick tiny bubble head that was tan in color, it was pitch black. i would probably put it in the smoked porter category. the aroma was of smoke, malt and a little alcohol. the taste was of roasted malt, sweetness. slight hop bitter. and a nice wood burning smokeyness. it is medium bodied, with a long lasting woddy aftertaste.
