On tap at Wild Donkey Brewing Company in Redlands, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, and slight mint aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, char, earth, and slight mint flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a subtle amount of mint that only comes out as the beer warms up a bit.
