Beer Description: Monterey Bay sea salt and rich, dark caramel enhance our salted caramel stout, brewed with California-grown Maiden Voyage malt from Admiral Maltings. Local and sustainable ingredients plus the efforts, ideas, and camaraderie of 12 Monterey Bay Area breweries make this beer a celebration of place.
I had on tap at the brewery. Poured with a small head with a dark, solid black look. The malt shine with this beer. Rich stout taste with caramel in the background initially, but as the beer warmed, the caramel became more pronounced. I didn't really taste the salt.
This actually paired well with the pork loin main course that I had for dinner. Normally, I don't like having stouts with my meal, I found it be very drinkable with the food.
