Poured at fridge temp. Lot's of carbonation. Pours a murky orange with quickly-dissipating white head.
Nose: Really nice - sweet right away. Hard candy, toffee, lemon, fresh apples, freshly-baked bread, clove oil, and lots of malty goodness. Floral note. A good amount of ginger. Oak.
Taste: Nice and sweet upfront- definitely follows the nose. Lemon, lime, a touch of grapefruit, toffee, ginger, sunflower seeds, citrus peel, pears, bourbon, oak, maple syrup. The taste is really interesting and very different from anything I have tried in recent memory. What a lovely experience.
Mouthfeel and overall: Light to medium bodied. Good carbonation. Aftertaste is a mixture of sweet and bitter. Overall, a wonderful beer and great take on the style.
