A 330ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2014. Purchased from a shop in France a few months ago while on holiday. The label mentions that this is brewed with organic ingredients and possesses a malty character.

Poured into a straight pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A hazy reddish-amber hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy off-white foam that lasts for a while before reducing to a thick surface layer. Some lacing. Aroma of earthy yeast and caramel malt, with hints of grain, tart fruitiness and stewed hops. Slightly sweet; less hoppy than I recall.

Tastes of earthy yeast and caramel malt, with a bone-dry finish. Notes of yeast, caramel, mild grain, subtle fruity esters and stewed hops. Slightly acidic, with a twinge of harsh cardboard in the background. A restrained bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with good carbonation and decent body. Somewhat astringent, followed by an aftertaste of earthy yeast, stewed hops and mild caramel.

OK, though not amazing. My impression is that the yeasty component of the flavour has increased since I bought this. It looks nice, while the aroma and flavour are dominated by an attenuated yeast character and mild malt/hop notes. Body is decent, though pretty dry on the palate. The style appears to be influenced to a degree by US craft brewing, but the hopping rate is reduced. Decent if not outstanding, and better fresh. Worth sampling if you come across it (a breath of fresh air in a region dominated by lagers).
