Pours very dark with a thin white head. Smells are malt and mild coffee. Tastes are malt with a mild coffee aftertaste. Mouthfeel is syrup with a nice finish, mild carbonation. Really good oatmeal stout.

On-tap at Yellow Springs Brewery, Yellow Springs, OH
A: The beer is essentially jet black in color-slight bits of dark red are visible near the edge of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with delicate lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge-the lacing eventually completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of chocolate and roasted malts are present in the nose-these become a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of dark chocolate malts and also has some hints of roasted malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Some smoothness becomes noticeable as the beer warms up.
O: This beer isn't overly complex compared to other Oatmeal Stputs but is pleasant to sip.
