Our American pale ale comes to life with a giant burst of Citra hops in the aroma and flavor. Earthy English malts balance the character and support the drier finish associated with the style.

GLBC tulip. From a Crowler canned yesterday.
A: pours a crystal clear pale yellow with one finger of bright white foam that quickly recedes to a ring around the edges. Modest visible carb. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: quite a modern hop profile. Floral and stone fruits. Apricot, peach pits. Yellow cherries.
T: remarkably dry, crisp arrival. Very little sweetness to speak of. Some of that floral, apricot hoppiness, only slightly less subdued on the palate than on the aroma.
M: this is the star of the show here; ultra-clean, crisp and refreshing. I just went swimming, and this beer is a perfect follow-on. A true summer crusher. Mild tingly carbonation, highly attenuated. Lacking some of the mouthfeel you expect from a pale, but it works.
O: This is like a toned-down Pernicious. Lower ABV, less flavor, but similar appearance and texture. Could drink a lot of this in the summertime, and could even see this pairing well with a number of foods. Cleansing and not overpowering, while staying true to the modern hop profile (and not going hazy).

I got a six pack of this from the beer store around the corner. It poured a clear yellow with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent has nice hints of tropical fruit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good tangerine flavor. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

Pours a yellow gold with medium head that leaves just a bit of lace. Nose is light citra hops...nice but not a ton there. Taste is light biscuit and almost lager-like. A bit lacking in flavor really. Probably more of a lawnmower beer than something to sit back and savor.

Picked up a single on a whim as I was on line at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton, which I always stop by when in town. Pours an attractive, rocky head above a golden body with nice clarity. Nose is balanced with citrus and biscuit notes. Auspicious beginning.
Crisp and flavorful with nice balance. A really good representation of the style to me, which for many brewers has become "lite IPA" or "understated hopbomb". Upbeat, crisp, with a delicate texture, but plenty of biscuit and bread notes and solid, but not overwhelming hops flavors. Pretty satisfying overall. Would definitely give these guys another shot.
