22 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I could find but I think it was released in bottles about a month and a half ago. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like chocolate, roasted malt, molasses, and some burnt/charred malt. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma but there seems to be more kick to it, there's a good amount of sweet and roasty bitter flavors in this robust porter. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think it's a good overall brew, I'd pick this up again in the future. $9.99 a bomber.

Poured from a bomber two days after release. Deep dark brown, looks almost like a stout. The smell of charred chocolate malts is amazing--super fresh. These are locally grown malts (barley grains I assume), I wonder who the maltster was? He or she did a super job toasting the grain!! The taste is char, chocolate, with a slight hint of sweetness, and an earthy campfire background. Definitely a robust flavor. The feel is classic porter--not too thick, not too thin. This is one to seek out. Please YSB make this again, and please! please! please! tell us you put some of this in barrels!
