On tap, served in a sampling glass during the "Beer and a Movie" of the Big Lebowski at the Little Art Theater in Yellow Springs. Inaugural tapping and release of this beer as a celebration of the movie. Supposed to taste a bit like the Dude's favorite drink. Brewer described it as a Coffee Milk Stout - so it doesn't fit any style really well, making it a good fit for American Stout.
Appearance: Very dark brown, letting no light through. Thin light tan head, some lacing.
Smell: Coffee, chocolate.
Taste: Coffee, chocolate, milk sugar/burnt sugar, roasted malt, cocoa powder.
Mouthfeel: Nicely thick, good carbonation, dry finish.
Overall / Drinkability: Definitely fits the brewer's idea of a coffee milk stout - all the flavors are there. Definitely worth a larger glass with a dessert some time. I suspect it will be a limited one-time release, but I do hope they try to brew it again.
