A very good Double IPA. Best on draft but canned is good as well. The draft seems sharper.

16oz can, dated 06 July 17, so depending on how you ask, it's either passed it's prime or just at it. For me, it's past...that being said, it's still pretty good and can only imagine how good it would be fresh. Can says "keep cold"...unfortunately, it was not, purchased off a shelf. Anyway...poured darker which is norm for east coast variations of a DIPA in my experience. The citrus-piney scent was there and alcohol, at almost 9%, was well hidden. I will most certainly seek out a fresher can!!!

Look: It pours slightly dark golden and clear with a white head that had good head retention.

Smell: It has a bit citrus aroma and pineapple. There is a low grainy aroma with a hint of resin.

Taste: There are some citrus flavors with a slightly caramel backbone. It has a bit of floral to it as well.

Feel: It has a full body that is a bit syrupy in texture. The bitterness is moderately light but last well into the finish.

Overall, this is an interesting beer in that the aromas and the taste sensations don't match. With that said, it is good overall.
