July 2016: RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. Shared bottle, 9.3% ABV double IPA. Hazy amber colour. Too sweet for me, but also very hoppy aroma and flavour. Not a favourite of mine.

It pours an amber body without any head.
Caramel, rose water and grapefruit in the smell in taste. Very sweet
Very syrupy, low carbonation.
The flavour profile is interesting but it's overly too sweet. I could consider this one on barleywine territory

Hazy golden colour, medium head and retention. Aroma hasta caramel, resins, tropical fruits. Medium to full body, dense texture, good carbonation. Taste fruits, resins, caramel, tropical fruits. Good and drinkable.

I first had a small sample of this at the Borefts festival on 23SEP16... When I saw it on the menu at de Biertuin in Amsterdam on 25SEP16, I pounced! Had a 0.33l bottle for €5.25; lot 20160627, best by JUN17.
It was a striking, rich apricot-orange color. Head was light tan and creamy, sitting at a solid 1/2" of frothiness. Carbo was light and fine, and lacing was quite nice. Nose was strong and very rindy and citrusy, a combo of both bitter and sweet. It had a solid medium body and was very smooth and creamy, gliding down easily.
Nicely sweet, with some toasty and caramel malts at the start. Apricot and tangerine notes were quite pleasant, adding sweetness before some bitter, pithy action took hold. Had a lovely balance of sweet and bitter, with the sweet notes lingering a bit more on the palate. A very nice DIPA!! Prosit!!

See a beer "La Pirata"" is always a guarantee of quality, professionalism; the pleasure to enjoy a good beer with Pirata guaranteed. This beer is not from one of the styles that I particularly like. It is very balanced, nothing d'amargor pass. Very good!

From 32GP. In Teku glass. Playing Grim Fandango Remastered. Pleasant. Well balanced although maybe I miss a bit more bitterness after taking their IPA, which seems more bitter. This one is more fruity. Very foamy, had to pour it in 2 times
