Pours a deep gold/pale amber coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smell is dominated by cactus fruit, with a hint of citrus as well. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by tart cactus fruit and a light citrus acidity, with a hint of biscuity malt and salt as well. Finishes with no discernible bitterness, but some tartness lingering in the aftertaste. Light/medium body with medium carbonation.
This is a nice, refreshing summer beer, but somewhat one-dimensional, with nothing really standing out that much. The cactus fruit which lends such a nice aroma to this is a lot more subtle on the tongue and the tartness is a little understated as well. Carbonation also seems a little low for the style. While this drinks perfectly nicely, it also seems a little bland and forgetable, to be honest.
