Notes: Welcome to TV Party! An old school beer style gets a new school twist. This pale ale is hazy, juicy and bursting with hop goodness. It's crushable with a smooth finish. It's bold, without being abrasive. It's our kind of party. It's a TV Party!

5th review. Guessed this was a 3.6-8 based on price. it works for modest ABV 5.5%. NYC.
a) Muddy, deep but faded yellow dull body, w decent head and lace.
s) too faint, pineapple, pine, hops, some grass
t) Lovely, little orange marmalade on toast with pine nuts and sprig.
f) Feel works for a light beer very crisp, yet juicy.
o) At $4 for 16 oz at my ferry-bound bodega on E 38th + 2nd Av, good deal and local.

This hazy, nicely malty, slightly citrusy, gently fizzy, slightly crisp pale ale has a nice "turned down to 8" character that I like. It won't knock your socks off, just give you a nice ride you would happily repeat. Good beers like this get short shrift when compared to their more outrageous cousins. This would be a top seller at a local bar with 9 taps.

16oz. can served in my Spiegelau ale glass. Pours a dull, hazy orange hue with a loose, 1/8th inch, off-white head that slowly disperses. Nose is fairly dull - some crackery malts and a hint of citrus. Taste follows nose with a hint of something medicinal or chemical at the back. Mouthfeel is light in body with a carbonation shy of lively. Overall, pretty mediocre.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit hops along with hints of oranges.
T: The taste has flavors of grapefruit pith with hints of oranges and a light amount of bitterness.
M: The beer is light- to medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of visible carbonation.
O: This APA is very easy to drink, especially since it isn't that bitter.

Canned on 6/28/18

Pours a hazy dulled orange with a nice two-finger off-white head. Pretty hefty amount of lacing left uniformly around the glass.

Aroma is of orange peel, ripe mango, pineapple, pumpernickel bread, earthy spice, and prickly pine with a light hop undertone; all of these notes are heavily condensed together and relatively toned down, I believe to its detriment.

Taste gives off a nice malt-hop balance, with both sides showcasing a flavor profile on the slighter end; I'm getting a lingering, soft hop prickliness alongside some bready malt, and maybe some light citrus fruits, as well.

Mouthfeel is relatively crisp and has a decent density to it; just shy of juicy, but inoffensive as a whole.

A pretty standard and unfortunately unmemorable pale ale. None of the elements really took off for me, but the brew in its entirety isn't anything bad, just not particularly good either.
