A kiwi spin on a classic style, Secret Pastures is a refreshing pilsner that showcases Motueka hops from New Zealand. Zesty lemon and lime aromas up front are followed by a hint of malt sweetness and a dry finish. Named after the Keith Haring punk art & dance collaboration which showed there’s no limitations to what art can be−on stage or in a glass.

Pours a glowing straw yellow. I get a lot of lemon—lemon juice? Lemonade? And a touch of a tart wheat beer character. It’s hoppy, nicely so. I wouldn’t call it a pilsner tho.

A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color and appears to have a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving a small patch of bubbles on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose - basil and rosemary seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of herbal hops are a little stronger and also contribute a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This New Zealand Pilsner is very hop-forward and is like a "lite" version of a India Pale Lager.

Pours a light fizzy 1/2 finger head with med retention, little lacing, crystal clear light pale golden color

Nose brings some interesting hops, lemony with a touch of white wine, light citrus and floral notes, little grainy

Taste brings more hops, lemon meringue pie, white wine, citrus zest, floral herbal character, other fruits a can't pinpoint, make is very light, just a touch of cereal grain, finishes a bit drier soft lager

Mouth is med bod, med frothy carb

Overall eh, hops are ok and thankfully not ipl level, but malt is barely detectable
