Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass.
Appearance: For reasons unclear, the beer immediately upon opening spilled out of the can in a slowly leaking, bubbly mess for a good 45 seconds. Once I poured the rest, I got a large and loudly, angrily fizzing head that disappeared after about 30 seconds. The glass is strewn with brown sediment that while I'm sure is harmless and tasty, looks a bit odd and unexpected. The body is very dark brown and more or less opaque.
Smell: Slightly metallic, with cinnamon, chilies, and chocolate underneath.
Taste: Follows the nose. Sharp chili kick in the back of the throat. Metal detracts from the overall rating.
Feel: The chilies add a real heat to the profile. It's not a thirst quencher!

A milk stout. Crowler poured about 4 days ago.
The pour from crowler to glass is lively, deep dark ruby with a wonderful brown head that's very retentive.
The aroma is ashen barley and sweet lactose. Not particularly intense--it might be served too cold--but complex and well balanced.
Flavor is good. Very well rounded, with a wonderfully sweet milk chocolate finish. Burnt barley and light hops up front, some generic cereal in the middle, and then a bittersweet chocolately end with the aforementioned milk chocolate in the aftertaste.
