Cervejaria Praxis "Loirinha"
20 cl on tap at Praxis in Coimbra, Portugal
Typical Belgian witbier appearance with a very hazy golden body and short head of white foam. The head retention is very good. The aroma is fruity, yeasty (actual yeast), and spicy with coriander seed. The flavor is brightly fruity with notes of apple, pear, and orange, and delicately spicy with coriander, green cardamom, and perhaps a light touch of cinnamon. The malt is bready and a touch honeyish. A moderate bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry with the malt fading to reveal lingering coriander seed and green cardamom. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. All in all it's quite nice but the lacing could have been better, unless of course that was due to a dirty bar glass.
