Presentation: Draft, served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: It develops a thin, half finger head that leaves some good lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a slightly hazy amber color.
Smell: It's not that aromatic, with just some grainy, malty sweetness coming through on the nose.
Taste: Mostly sweet, malty and caramely with a bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Clean, crisp and medium bodied with medium-high carbonation.
Overall: A middle of the road amber ale. It's not bad but not outstanding either.

On draft.
Named after the Porta Coeli ("Gateway to Heaven") Convent, originally built in 1609 by the Dominican Orden.
Appearance: Copper/dark red. Tan head. About what you would expect for the style. Excellent head retention.
Aroma: Toast, freshly baked bread, very mild chocolate-y notes.
Taste: A little bit of smoke which was unexpected, a little biscuity. Hop flavor is subdued and malts come through prominently.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with nice carbonation
Overall: Outstanding, really. Not my go-to style and nothing I would drink pint after pint of, but still a nicely crafted amber.
