Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle, served in a tulip glass.

Appearance: Cloudy, light caramel color. It develops a one and a half finger head and leaves some great lacing.

Smell: The sweet malt smell dominates, with some strong grain notes as well.

Taste: Very even with a good malt presence but it tips the scale more towards the bitter hop side.

Mouthfeel: Light, refreshing and a bit watery.

Overall: It's light and refreshing but still packing character and flavor. A good alternative to a light lager on a hot summer day.

Found this bomber sitting by itself in the cooler at the Victory Gulf station in Mayaguez. Since Boqueron's offerings are not easy to find, including those brewed year round, I grabbed it. Poured into a pint glass, I saw a nice amber color with a half inch of head. Light hoppy scent out of the bottle and I was pleasantly surprised by the floral hop taste at the front. Nice rich mouthfeel followed with caramel malt flavor at the finish that made for a good balanced beer. I would buy again if in the mood for an APA.
