Presentation: 32 oz. crowler with the canning date written on the label. Served in a stemmed stange.
Appearance: The bright white, one finger head stays around for a bit and goes down into a thin foam layer that stays until the end. It leaves behind a fair amount of patchy lacing. It's a beautiful, crystal clear, bright gold color.
Smell: It's a fruity aroma with a distinct floral character as well. There's notes of lemon grass, peach and grapefruit pulp.
Taste: The hoppiness is definitely there with some orange, grapefruit and peach notes, but it's restrained. A soft, grainy sweetness balances things out nicely. There's almost no bitterness, with just a tad showing up towards the edges of the palate in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It's light, very smooth and refreshing. Carbonation is medium low, so the crisp, high carbonation bite that's characteristic of a lot of pilsners is not there.
Overall: This is exceptionally well balanced. It brings a wonderful, flowery and fruity hop character to the beer without killing the subtleness that makes pilsners great, easy drinkers. Awesome job by Boquerón on this one.
