Premium British malts and American hops are the showcase of our IPA version. We use British malts to lend a malty/sweet backbone and American hops for their signature flavors/aromas. We have put Old and New World together to create a beer that can please lovers of both malty and hop-forward beers. Our IPA is copper to amber in color, with an off-white head. This beer is light to medium body, however, its is bigger than our Pale Ales. A perfect combination with local food fair for any day of the week!

Brewed in the name of Puerto Rico's popular hangout beach, and also a somewhat nefarious military past, Boqueron honors Crash Boat with a beer that's a little old and a little new.
Golden amber and held in a slight hoppy haze, Crash Boat IPA builds a soft ivory froth and a floral aroma of citrusy, piney and fruity hops along with a soft toasty background. As its first sip reveals a softly caramelized taste of light caramel and honey, cashew and toasted grain, suggestion of granola come with a biscuity quality. As the hops abound, the taste shifts to orange peel and lime with a more tropical mango and apricot roundness. Trending bitter and drier with peppery pine, citrus peel and fresh cut grass, the session concludes decisively bitter.
Medium bodied and full flavored, the ale is a certainly a bitter leaning beer with balance with a slight stale character and low lying hop astringencies but a welcomed taste overall.

Can from 24 market in Isla Verde
Mostly clear dark golden color with a huge frothy white head that persists. Bready caramel maltiness with hints of citrus and pine. Feels old school but also feels not so fresh.

An off-white froth covers this amber brew. A faint hop aroma with green apple in the background. Tastes of grain, light fruits and faint, oily hops.
A good pale ale. err. umm, I mean IPA.

Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle with the "Bottled on" date printed on the label. Served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: Clear gold in color and it develops a two finger head that sticks around for a while then slowly disappears. It leaves almost no lacing.
Smell: Smells mostly of hops with a little bit of malt in the background. It's not overly aromatic but the smell is noticeable and pleasant.
Taste: It has a perfectly executed hop flavor that's not shocking or overwhelming, but very present and enjoyable. There's just enough malt sweetness to balance everything out without ruining the distinct hop character of the brew.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, with little carbonation. It's medium bodied and finishes dry.
Overall: In an island historically dominated by adjunct lagers, where the "craft beer craze" is just starting to take off, this is some of the best local beer you can buy. It's hard to get a hold of, but the perfectly balanced flavors, along with the subtle aroma make it worth your time to find and enjoy it.
