Appearance. Black body with a short tan head.
The aroma and flavor support the use of "double" in the name. This has strong notes of dark roasted grains in both the aroma and the flavor. Both the aroma and the flavor have some smoke, and the flavor carries some burnt grain notes.
Smooth, full body with light carbonation.

A bit weak for the advertised style, but it's a nice beer nevertheless.
