There is a short, pale head, which quickly fades leaving a cloudy amber color. A light, floral aroma accompanies the rich bready foam. Upfront is a wonderful sour mash malt flavor, which is followed by a sharp touch of carbination and a bit of bitter, floral hops. For a brew with only 5.2 abv, there is a note of sweet alcohol that blooms in my mouth. This is by far the maltiest pilsner I've ever had. At times it reminds me of a few kolsch brews I've had, but with a distinct pilsner bitterness. This is a very unique and flavorful beer.

Drank from the can. Smells of sweet corn and grass. Very light mouthfeel, almost watery, with light but active carbonation. Sweet malt and alcohol on the tongue with a crisp, dry, grassy finish. Quite drinkable. Definitely true to the style, a quality American rendition of a Czech style pilsener.

12 fl oz can ran me $1.67 USD at a Trader Joe's in Austin, TX.
Very hum-ho fare. Minerally but not as overhopped as I anticipated.
Drinkable but shallow and simple. A poor attempt at a pilsner, but generally drinkable.
C (2.88) / AVERAGE

Pours a slightly cloudy yellow orangish color with white head. Cereal grains, floral hop notes, and some earth tones on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with a nice malt bill.
