A thanks to the founding father of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mixed fruits, none stand out in particular. Taste is like pine and fruits fighting for supremacy, with neither gaining an advantage, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is decent, but I'm still not sure which flavor profile they were shooting for.

Mildly hazy, peach colored body; nice, slow rising carbonation; thick, sticky, creamy head. Faint woodsy aroma; some ripe pet fruit tones. Pleasant medium toasted grain malt sweetness with a balanced hop bitterness for flavors. Heavy body; not overdone on the residual sugars but still thick and chewy; warm with a mostly dry character.
Tavour stated the brewery used Crystal hops for this version (the date stamp on the bottom of the can is 07/23/18 - the brewery's web site hasn't listed July's hop varietal yet). For a single-hop varietal, this is a pleasant, easy drinking IPA. It lacks some depth and punch that a more aggressive hop bill may have offered, but this is a great change of pace, delivering a balanced, subtle touch to the palate.
