At first pour, it was beautiful but the head disappears quickly. This was very true to the flavor but instead of being as sour as I expected, it was more subdued which actually made it even more pleasant! Pleasant taste throughout. No negative aftertaste. Good mouthfeel overall. The smell reminds me more of red wine than a beer but is truly representative of the name it portrays.

Has a beautiful light red color when poured (reminds you of cherries). Has a nice colored light pink head but does not last long. It smells like sour cherry and tastes okay. The taste and feel almost remind me of a wine.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a ruby red color with a big billowy head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a tiny bit of lace on the sides of the glass
Smell – The aroma of the brew is massive of a sour cherry smell mixed with a nice creamy base. Notes of some light bready smells are there as well.
Taste – The flavor begins with a tart cherry flavor mixed with a rather strong cracker malt. As the flavor advances the tartness gets stronger with more cherry and some sour green apple. Toward the end a little bit of cherry sweetness comes to the flavor and leaves one with a tart cherry flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a medium carbonation level. The crisp body was great for the very tart flavors and made it a rather easy sipping brew.
Overall – Quite tart cherry overall with just a hint of sweetness. While I wouldn’t go to this often, it was a nice one to try. If you like sours that aren’t overly sour then you may like this brew.
