Medium amber in color with an off-white head. Smells of sweet grain (no surprise) and cinnamon, not unlike a rice pudding. Taste is that of sweet grain, cinnamon, spice, and raisins or stone fruit. Hop flavor is mild and complements the other flavors perfectly. Medium bodied. Delicious.

Golden color with a nice white head. Nose is cinnamon and possibly apple cider. Taste is all cinnamon and not much more as far as flavor. Surprising easy drinking for 7.4 ABV.

Drank 4 nights ago. Pours a very hazy golden color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild and lacing is good. Cinnamon vanilla aroma is overwhelming. Same with the taste, but there is a big medicinal taste at the end. Light to medium bodied with mild to moderate carbonation.

Look: Clear dark orange. One finger of foamy white head with decent retention.
Smell: Cinnamon, orange, vanilla, and a slight sour note.
Taste: Strong cinnamon note, sweet vanilla and sugar. Almost like an alcoholic cinnamon roll.
Mouthfeel: Average body and carbonation.
Overall: Definitely a dessert beer. Very sweet and tasty.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a medium coppery amber with a two finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, cinnamon, vanilla and light lactose. Flavor is semi-sweet lager malt, cinnamon, vanilla and lactose. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. As advertised, this is a darn good representation of horchata in beer form. It's a bit on the sweet side, but so is horchata. The cinnamon and vanilla flavors are well handled. The cream ale base is perfect for presenting this dessert style take on a Mexican drink. Nicely done.
