Has a dark and caramel-like appearance. Smells like peppermint and chocolate. Frothy and bitter on the front end, the taste of chocolate and peppermint follows with a smooth vanilla finish and a lingering nutty bourbon flavor. Tastes and feels like a winter brew. The beer is listed to be brewed on February 5th, 2019 with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, star anise, and vanilla, aged in a whiskey barrel for 4.5 months. OG: 23.6, IBU:15. I typically enjoy Martin House 2 packs bombers, but this one feels a little lackluster. Odd timing to release a winter brew in the middle of summer.
