Need to be familiar with the base beer here to really appreciate what MH did with this one. Retains all of the briny goodness of SL with citrusy and tart layers that make it a refreshing and salty juice bomb. Will make your cheeks pucker and your ass hole, too.

Thanks to Ozzylizard for this one from NBS BIF #14. 12oz can (dated 9/21/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very muddy, yet still slightly translucent orange-yellow color with 1/3 inch of white head that quickly dissipated and left no lacing.

The aroma was all fruit forward, no grain or hop aspect.

The beer started out similar on the tongue, bit did add some salt and bitterness middle and back respectively. The salt tended to linger.

The body was light, a slight touch coarse, and had a finish that started sweet, bur dried out very severely.

Drinkability was good, but this would likely be better suited to a warm, sunny July day, rather than a wet, damp, chilly, windy November one.

Overall, a solid and enjoyable brew. Worth grabbing if you see it.

Not familiar with this style but I bought a 6 pack of cans dated 9/22/21. Inverted the can several times then poured into a glass. Very opaque dark yellow, not much of a head. Nothing going on smell-wise but very faint pineapple. Flavor is intensely sour and acidic - sourest beer I've ever had. Also salty. This far outweighs any fruit flavors that might be underneath, although you do get the stickiness. Low carbonation.

Overall I liked it quite alot. I think it would be amazing with some heavy food. It was perhaps a bit TOO intense in the acidity for me, which would be my only minor complaint. It is a sour/gose after all, but I think a nice culinary counterpoint would have brought out the best in it.
