Look: dark red almost red with a thin pink head
Aroma: sour cherries, citrus
Flavor: like sour cherries, lemon, red wine, the alcohol is barely noticeable
Body/Overall: the body is a bit thin for this strength, but that's nice with the fruity and tart flavors.

Poured from a 12oz can into a tulip glass- came as a two-pack with two cans inside a decorative box. Very nice packaging both the art on the box as well as the cans.
Look: This beer straight up looks like a glass of Merlot aside from the thin pink lace head at the top. I was quite surprised at how dark this beer was.
Smell: Initially the beer was a bit too cold when I first poured it and I couldn't quite make out many distinct smells. After warming up a bit, there's definitely some tart funkiness in the nose but overall its still pretty muted. There is what I woiuld call a faint barrel smell, but I might just not have the nose to pick that out as well. Finally, it smells like there's some booze behind this one, the 12+% ABV comes through.
Taste: When I drink wine, I gravitate towards naturally fizzy varieties, and this beer has many similar characteristics. It really does taste a bit like a bubbly sour red wine. It does not have a huge barrel character, so it tastes much lighter in terms of comparison to a red wine. The taste is tart up front but balanced out with a lot of residual sweetness. Neither flavor comes through too overpowering. There's not much hop bitterness to be detected. The aftertaste has a bit of bitterness but that could just be from the higher ABV.
Feel: For a 12+ % ABV beer, I am glad that this one has a bit of thinner body. There isn't too much sweetness to give a thick molasses type taste, and there's not much if any dark-fruit type flavor that you'd get from a big boy barleywine kinda beer. Given that this is a sour, (imperial sour) base beer, I consider all the former comments a plus. The tartness shines through with just enough sweetness in the body to balance the flavor while leaving a pretty smooth finish.
This is a beer I would definitely recommend to try and especially to share with friends. Shout out again to the fantastic artwork on the cans and box. I'd be hard pressed to say I'd order this on tap anywhere if it is ever served that way, but as a unique beer to track down for a taste or to share, it is quite worthwhile.
