Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color with a tiny bit of pink hue and a small fizzy white head. The head fades rather fast leaving just a touch of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a sour green apple and watermelon aroma mixed with a touch of a touch of cracker and bready malt. Smells vey akin to a sour watermelon gummy candy.
Taste – The taste begins with a sour and tart green apple flavor mixed with a bit of watermelon. There is also a touch of a cracker malt and a bit of grass upfront. As the taste advances the watermelon initially increases only to decrease toward the end. At the same time the sour gets more intense and with a little bit of hay and a big showing of lemon, one is left with a tart and sour taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is high and prickly. For the sour and tart nature of the brew the feel is good and makes for a good easy sipper.
Overall – A rather easy drinking tart and sour brew. One the drier side overall with a rather easy drinking nature.
