Holoptropic: Adjective - Oriented or moving towards wholeness." That sounds about right, if you want to be moving towards enjoying the most delicious IPA.
Holotropic is a JUICY* IPA. We wanted a big ipa with crushable smoothness and we certainly achieved that. The cool hops in this bad boy include: Cashmere, Mosaic, Comet, Cryo El Dorado, and Idaho 7. If you're a fan of full flavor, hop forward ipas with an extra abv kick, you are going to dig it!

Appearance: Murky gold/amber glass struggles to hold a halo of white tiny bubble foam, with some transient lacing.
Aroma: Citric skin, malty sweetness, mild tonic water mineral note.
Taste: Fruity, tropical, a little Hawaiian punch with a big crystal malt sugar base that keeps all the hops from getting bitter. Manages to find a weighty center balance with big things going on, ends up being easy drinking.
Mouthfeel: Heavy body, mild chew, very low carbonation, oily in the mouth but a clean finish.
Overall: Tasty! I like the hop profile, it's hefty at 10%, ends up somewhere in the American Strong Ale world in my book, but that's a happy place to spend time. Might not be hoppy enough for people looking for a DIPA.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a clear hazed orange-golden amber color with a two-finger head of off white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading slowly over time and leaving a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready and doughy malt smell mixed with some grapefruit and herbal hop. Along with these smells comes notes of melon and pear, as well as some tangerine and papaya. There is also a little bit of lemongrass and some pine hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready malt flavor that is paired with some tangerine and mango sweetness. There is also a rather sizable honeydew melon flavor and herbal and pine hop right upfront. The hop gets stronger as the taste advances with the pine and herb being joined by some light earth and a grapefruit hop flavor. At the same time the tropical fruits get a bit weaker, all while the melon grows stronger and is joined by some apricot and peach flavors. A touch of hay comes in at the very end, mixing with the rest to leave a moderately sweet and hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and more chewy with a carbonation level that is low. For the big, and hidden abv. mixed with the fruit and hop flavors the feel is rather nice and makes for a dangerously easy sipper.
Overall – A rather tasty double IPA with a big nature. A dangerously easily drinkable and flavorful brew.
