This is for the OG IPA fans. We're changing it up a bit and going with a non-hazy IPA on this one. The Mariana Trench is an American Double IPA.
Our brewer said he used "the most advanced hop products we could find." Which included: Cryo Cascade, Citra Dynaboot, and Cascade SubZero Hop Kief. I'm not sure what all of those are, but it turned out to be pretty dang delicious!
"All of these futuristic products will create a saturated hop flavor bursting with tropical dank fruit while wielding 75 IBUs that add an assertive bitterness." - John "Beef" Laughman. That sounds about right. Thanks, Beef!

Pours an effervescent & clear gold with a thumb+ of cream colored head
S: Cakey, citrus, toffee
T: Follows the nose, pretty dry, caramel, a touch of honey, grassy & piney hops up front. More pine, toffee, hints of citrus & a little caramel, a touch of tangerine as this beer warms up. Finishes cakey, piney, dry with some toffee
MF: Pretty chewy, subdued carbonation, pretty good balance for the heft, pine rips it back from being too sweet. Most likely would buy this again, so few breweries around here go this way with hop approach any more
This is a solid effort from these guys, pretty much an early 2000s throwback for this style that will always have a soft spot on memory/pallet. This is a sipper

Canned 7/2/24. Drank 8/15/24.
Pour is a beautiful, crystal clear light copper with a dense, creamy, white cap of foam; about two fingers worth. Great retention.
Nose is sweet, pithy orange, dank, citrus rind.
Taste follows. Sweet, pithy orange, citrus rind, grapefruit, solid hop bitterness on the finish supported by a light malty bready backbone. Definitely a throwback to the classic imperial IPAs
Clean, crisp body. Doesn't get overly sweet, thick, or cloying. Alcohol is well hidden and the beer invites another sip. Dangerous at 10%.
