Body is cloudy brown orangy. Minimal short lived head without lacing.
Spicy cinnamon and coconut smell.
Taste is slightly sour with cinnamon staying dominant. Hints of the coconut remains present. Cinnamon rules the taste and after effects.
Medium body like syrup with a little carbonation.
I would enjoy one most any day and often instead of a strong stout.

12oz can. Canning date stamped on bottom is '10/17/2024'.
Cloudy, brownish orange colored body. Brief lasting head upon pouring, and then yields an interrupted ring and quiet surface. No lacing.
Aroma is cinnamon and coconut.
Taste is more in the realm of a kettle sour. Slightly tart but the cinnamon spice sits strong throughout. Sweet coconut joins in, along with a general slight tart fruit addition. Cinnamon continues to rule in the aftertaste. Very herbal and spicy.
More than medium mouthfeel, with slight syrup. The cinnamon dots the tongue. A lot of the experience rises into the nasal passages. Quiet carbonation.
Seldom encountered is such strong and spicy cinnamon with a sweet coconut, but it seems to work. Not difficult to go back for another sip.

Wow. Sweet and suntan-lotiony. Creamy coconut and honeysuckle. Syrupy Caramel cinnamon. If my 7th grade girlfriend’s flesh was made into a beer, it would taste like this. Put the lotion in the basket.

Coquito from Martin House. 12 fl oz can, picked up at HEB Plus on 306, New Braunfels, TX, 13/11/24, $ 3.82 (Including tax), $ 0.318 /fl oz. Reviewed 16/11/24 (Review 3395). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Bottom of can stamped “10/17/2024”. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 50.1 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 54.6 degrees F.
Appearance – 3
First pour – Pale Amber (SRM 9), hazy.
Body – Pale Amber (SRM 9), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lite, translucent honey.
Head: Average (Maximum one cm, aggressive center pour), off white, medium density. Quickly collapsing to a 0.5 mm broken bubble ring constantly renewed by carbonation and no cap.
Lacing – None, as anticipated at 12% ABV.
Aroma – 3.5 – Odd combination of cinnamon and coconut predominates - no yeast, no hops, no malt. No ethanol (12 % ABV according to the label).
Flavor – 4 – Begins slightly sweet with coconut predominating. No yeast, no hops, no malt, no vanilla. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Barely noticeable gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Not quite up to medium: weakly syrupy; lively carbonation.
Style: Distinctly does not follow the style guidelines, so I guess I picked the wrong style when I added it.
Final impression and summation: 4 The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. After the initial oddness, the coconut and cinnamon produce a uniquely pleasurable taste. No vanilla of course, but then I can’t taste vanilla in any concentrations less than absolute.
