12oz can. Dating information as follows, stamp on bottom for canning date of '12/18/2024', label says 'Brewed on : Apr. 3,2024', and label says 'Aged 8 months in whiskey barrels'.
Black colored body, with no through light leakage. Brief fizzy brown colored head, but some remnants stick around with a minor surface storm. Leaves scattered lacing spots.
Aroma of chocolate, peanuts, vanilla, and whiskey barrel. Scents are natural and fragrant.
Taste is a whiskey rush of flavor and vapors, and these transport the sweet flavors of chocolate and vanilla, and the earthy peanut. Mid profile is quite sweet and then transitions to more of the earthy peanut, along with black cherry. Chocolate, peanut, and whiskey barrel linger in a long lasting aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and sticky on the lips. Higher ABV% is well covered by the sweetness, and there is no burn, but minor mouth and tongue numbing and a long duration of vapors with each sip. Very good carbonation.
This high test brew is made to express natural, not artificial, flavors. A slow sipper because of the high ABV%.

The Penguin (mine was the 2025 label) has a thin, beige head and a dark-brown appearance, with no lacing. The aroma is of whiskey barrel, peanut butter, and brown bread crust. It has a similar flavor, with strong whiskey barrel and peanut butter. There is some bitterness, a touch of vanilla, and it is quite sweet. The Penguin (2025 label) has a heavy body, a slightly oily mouthfeel, and a semi-sweet finish.
