330ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£2.80):
Hazy amber with a finger sized head initially that is foamy & white. This settles to a 1cm tall one after a while.
Stong tropical fruits, sweetness and solid bitterness upfront with more caramel than I had been expecting. I got strong hops but they didn't overpower & the beer had a nice balance with some mango & grapefruit too.
A lot of sweetness, caramel, hops & bitterness, matching the nose well here. Malty around the middle but grapefruit comes through well, as does mango & citrus plus some pine flavours & oily touches. Tastes good & goes down well.
Light medium with good carbonation & a slightly oily but smooth mouthfeel. Moderate bitterness throughout & the sweetness helps balance things out, if only it was a touch heavier as I thought it started to thin out slightly towards the end.
Another Alechemy beer, another excellent offering from the Livingston brewery. This one was definitely sweet & had a lot of hops and bitterness to it but still managed to have a good balance and proved& easy to drink; definitely one I wouldn't mind picking up again.
