Two of my favorite breweries. Easy drinking, smooth and delicious! Best triple IPA I have had to date

This AA meeting is a collaboration between Acoustic Ales and Artifex Brewing from San Clemente. They call it a Triple IPA. A big whiff of honeysuckle and resins. Quite tangy and well carbonated.
Color is a dark orange amber with a very nice foam in the St. Bernardus globe. Distinctly malty, but more on the sharp side than the sweet. It feels like a hopped up Tripel. The long, fruity honeymoon slides into a dark, bitter finish. Ripe honeydew melon with burnt toast.
This is so mellow it's easy to overlook the massive alcohol content. The bitterness and sharp hop oils catch up eventually. It's a big mouthful of flavor but entirely sippable. The hop enthusiast will want to try this one. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
