Orangey amber color with plenty of foam in the Duvel tulip. Yet another New Zealand hop with massive amounts of fruit. Big aroma of toast with plum jam. Flavor of apricot with a resiny note. Moderately bitter aftertaste and the fruit stays with you.
Moderately sweet malt taste, but plenty of it. This has an interesting hop flavor that is hard to describe. Overall, this is a sharpish and less sweet DIPA with a fragrant and somewhat unusual hop profile. Hop fans will want to try the Rakau. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market on West Point Loma.
