This was poured into an English pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin film of a white to off white foamy head. Lacing was thin. The smell had the coffee beans coming through in a grassy / dried roasty edge. Light cocoa balances in as it warms. The taste was basically the same. Dry roasty coffee bean aftertaste with a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about medium on the body with the dried roasty edge coming back to lay down on my tongue. Overall, pretty nice coffee porter.

Pours a dark cola brown with a half-finger of khaki head. The head quickly settles into a halo, leaving some cobwebs of lace along the way.
The aroma brings notes of dark malts, toffee, vanilla, and dark fruits. Pleasant, but very little coffee.
The flavor betrays the nose, bringing a massive wave of charred coffee and dark roasted malts. There's also some vanilla and caramel, and just a slight touch of dark chocolate on the finish.
The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth, yet very watery. Has a dry finish with a slight warming from the alcohol.
Overall, a pretty good, flavorful porter. Definitely could use more body and softer carbonation. Still a good beer.
