Pours a clear amber colour. Smells smokey, clean, and light. Tastes smokey throughout (Applewood), like a bonfire, but not overwhelming, hard to discern anything else. Light pale-malt body and earthy hops.

750 ml mini growler from the brewery. Poured into a Hammerheart tulip glass.
Appearance: Pours a clear amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid finger of off white head which settles into a thin creamy layer.
Smell: A grassy and smokey aroma with a scent of earthy hops and smoke. Nice scent of smoke with some hints of apple wood. Earthy hops with hints of grass. Malt scent of caramel, grains, biscuit, and cracker with yeast. A very solid aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, an earthy and smokey taste with notes of smoke and grassy hops. Good presence of smoke with some notes of apple wood. Earthy hops with some notes of grass and pine. Malt notes of caramel, grains, cracker, and biscuit along with some yeast. A pretty good taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp with a drying finish.
Overall: A very good twist on a Pale Ale. Nice apple wood smoke flavor with the hops.
