Ire - Our 300th Batch, this beer is inspired by the epic band Eternal Champion. It is a Cherrywood Smoked American Red Ale with Cherry juice added. A toffee and caramel malt base gives way to floral and resinous hop character. Tart Montmorency cherries coalesce with a subtle smoke finish.

L: hazy copper amber under a 1" beige cap with good retention.
S: popping the cap releases a big cherry aroma. Closer up there is some cherry funk, a little tart, some malt, traces of caramel, and a shot of dank.
T: Cherries rule with their tartness softened by a malt sweetness between toffee and caramel.
F: medium full body, very creamy, medium carbonation.
O: a full flavored, luscious cherry beer.

500ml stubby bottle. No bottling date information found, but was released late in February, 2019.
Cloudy, medium amber with a tint of red colored body. Two fingers of off white head is a result of the initial pour, and this head settles back to a thin bubbly cap, leaving behind tendrils of lacing.
Aroma of caramel malt and cherry. Has a whiff of smoke.
Taste of smoky caramel, with sour whole cherry. Lots of woody resin flavor. Slight smoke and the sour cherry trail off in the aftertaste. Has a bit of iodine deep into the aftertaste.
Medium to full mouth feel. Has a slight bit of stickiness. Good carbonation.
This beer came as advertised but it is a tough one for me to savor. The smooth mouth feel makes it easy to quaff, but the sour cherry and woody resin flavors are strong and raw. The beer is a wild bronc ride.
