Thor's Fury Returns is the second iteration of Thor's Fury. For this iteration, we let dehydrated Brown Moruga Scorpion and Pimenta da Neyde peppers soak in a batch of regular Thor's Porter. Both peppers have natural chocolate and smokey notes. These peppers were grown in collaboration with "Pepper Steve".

A lovely looking dark colored porter. Smokey like all Hammerheart beers but also slightly sweet chocolate notes. Medium chile heat that will be too much for the average Minnesotan. Not getting a lot of flavor notes from the chiles but not sure I want that from Scorpions anyways. Not familiar with the Pimenta da Neyde chiles so no idea what to look for. A good, thick porter that gets the body warm and the blood pumping.

16oz can into a 16oz porter glass.
L: Pours pitch black w/a dark cocoa 2" rocky head, low carbonation, some creamy head retention, no lacing.
S: Over ripe citrus, plum, dark berries, cherry, grapes, a hint of vanilla, lightly smoky.
T: Char, coffee, dark chocolate fudge, hot pepper, dark berries, highly roasted malts, a hint of brown bread, earthy, lightly smoky. I do not taste alcohol.
F: Smooth, creamy, profound tingling heat within a medium heavy bodied mouth feel w/a medium long finish that is spicy & drying. There is pepper heat in my face under my eyes.
O: An ideal Chilie Pepper beer. An excellent example of both Porter and Pepper beer. It's a sipper, fairly bitter w/charry caramelized malts and plenty of cocoa. Pepper heat isn't as sharp after 1/3 of pint but glows like a hot coal. It's high ABV is very well hidden. I love this beer! and hope more is brewed in the near future!

12oz can. No dating information found.
Dark cola brown colored body. Thin mocha colored head. Leaves behind thin strings of lacing.
Aroma is roasted and smoky malts, with a whiff of peppers and vanilla.
Taste is roasted malts, with the emphasis on the smoky peppers which exhibit a medium level of burn. There is also a lot of dark chocolate and vanilla, and even a bit of the pepper body. The burn on the tongue and throat continues into the aftertaste.
Thick mouth feel, and quite smooth and creamy. Good supportive carbonation.
This one made my nose run a bit, and would be a good pairing candidate with a rich chocolate ice cream.

Pours a thick black color with a dark mocha head . Snell has smoked malts ,roasted chocolate and vanilla. Taste is all peppers and they are HOT!, notes of smoke in the background, Mouth feel is overpowered by the Peppers ,so much so that’s I could not finish the brew , This beer is well made but for me i could not handle the peppers. YMMV.
