Funky IPA, on tap at Capitol beer and tap room. Slightly sour, musty essence to this. Dank, as implied by the name, pine, herbal, floral. Overall decent.

If the plants of hops and hemp are basically cousins of one another, the influence that pot plays in IPA is quite evident. Fueled with Mosaic, Altus and Summit hops and Altamont's IPA is an unnecessary snack session just waiting to happen.
Glowing brightly with a diffused golden amber, Dank Row wafts about the nose with unmistakable oils of citrus, botanical, floral and herbal character. Smoothly sweet, the underlying maltiness provides a supportive caramel sweetness with hints of nuttiness and toast in a granola kind of way.
As the hops blossom on the middle palate, the individual impressions of grapefruit, orange peel and lime carry a dank citrus taste while more nuanced flavors of passionfruit, mango, pineapple and papaya join the juicy fray. Trending bitter, resinous and grassy, the late palate celebrates the taste of pine tar, botanical spice and citrus peels for a cross of bright citronella and pungent patchouli.
Medium bodied and trending lighter, the IPA finishes bitter and drying for a crisp, refreshing and off-clean sense of closure. A long and bitter grip the the gullet carry that cannabis character even further while the alcohol has an evaporative cooling of peppery gin.

Pours golden and leaving a white head. No lacing. Nose and taste are as the name suggests, DANK! Good bitterness all the way around. Good beer

Clear golden amber brew with abundant foam in the Stout glass. Somehow watery tasting with a substantial body, smooth and slick on the tongue, and moderate spritz. Aroma is briefly blackberry, and a woody nose. Not much in the way of fruit here, nor citrus peel either. Flavors run towards the resins and dark twiggy underbrush.
Plenty bitter in the aftertaste with a touch of astringency. This reminds me of a Red Ale with that musty malt overlaid by bitter gunk. But dry and fairly drinkable. Just don't expect a goodnight kiss. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine.

Picked this up I think back in November or February, can't remember, it was one of those Bistro festival trips and stops at Berkeley Bowl the next morning.
Has the familiar slightly darker golden colored appearance. 1/2" white head. Good aromatics here, I dunno if it is just the color association from the can, but I expected something malty in the red ale range going on here, glad it popped heavy on the hops instead. Went in similar to Citra where it went hard on tangerine notes, but also had a bit of that danky Summit garlic note, welcome in these parts. Prolly should mention additional weed dank notes from Columbus, right on the nose there in this beer.
Taste was pretty nice, basic 2 row stays dry, out of the way, letting more of the dank from dank row shine. Good bitterness, Summit and CTZ can bang both ways as a bittering and aroma hops. Might have a pronounced bitterness the hazebois can't handle. But I think this is one of the better 4/20 era beers that still will appeal to the OMT (Old Money Tickers).

Part of the 4/20 4-pack, consumed 4/22/18
Looks great - clear amber gold with a nice thick head that left a little lacing.
Aroma is sort of like dank weed, just pretty mild with a really little bit of citrus sweetness.
Taste follows aroma, stronger dank notes with pine as well. Honestly tastes better the more I drink. Pick up more of the faint fruity notes after a few sips.
Feel is medium, good carbonation, solid bitterness that is very slightly lingering.
Overall, a solid weed-tasting brew to celebrate 4/20 - it beat out a couple of similar ones I had from other breweries. West Coast IPA with less fruitiness and more dankiness. Not one I'd seek out but a nice try nontheless.

On tap at McGillicuddy’s, Five Corners, Essex Junction VT. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a sly crisp yellow color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a quick pace. Messy sticky spider web lace. The aroma takes on sweet oily oniony hops with a low key bitterness far underneath. Grassy sweet to bitter hops even further underneath. The flavor yields to the sweet danky onion taste , sly crisp to oily sort of skin-esque sticky sort of low riding smooth sweet maltiness. Sly oily smooth sweet aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation. Overall, it’s a good AIPA that I could have again. Just dankier, that’s all.
