Can dated 11/20/18.
This was poured into a glass mug.
The appearance was a fairly dark brown color with a small cap of a little off white foamy head. Some concave lace stuck to the glass.
The aroma had a fabulous blend of caramel, toffee, milk chocolate, wafer, nuts and a light touch of dark chocolate ever so slight on the back end.
The flavor wrapped together all of the previously mentioned aromas sweet and nutty with a touch of bitterness from the dark chocolate. Mild aftertaste of nuts, caramel, toffee and milk chocolate.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt on par. Carbonation felt fine. Some sharpness scrapes at my tongue, I believe that's the hops. Finish is quite clean with a nice maltiness about it.
Overall, American or English brown ale? It's somewhat of a cross, I'd say. Still, very much so willing to come back to.
