Canned 8/22/18, consumed 9/14/18
L: Clear amber with a small head that quickly dissapated and left no lacing.
S: Thick and resinous - dank floral hops, fruity hops, sweet malts.
T: Pretty nicely fruity up front, felt like I did taste the rainbow. Sticky dank hop and sweet malt notes fill in after the initial fruitiness.
F: Medium-heavy, maybe just slightly boozy although the alcohol is worked in nicely. Decent carbonation, a bit of solid bitterness.
O: A nice, strong West Coast DIPA that was one of the better brews in their recent cereal 4-pack along with the Kapt'n Kush. From the previous reviews it looks like it has improved pretty well from previous years. Probably won't revisit it anytime soon but enjoyed it all the same.

Snifter at THG.
A: Deep amber with a cap of dense greasy tan foam. Spotty greasy lace.
S: Sweet and sticky smelling overall with fragrant and perfume hop notes. Resinous hop nose.
T: Boozy but clean, with a solid bitterness and notes of pine, honeydew, and dankness in the finish. Tons of residual sugary booze, but there's also some redeeming dryness. Sweet overall, similar to their other high abv ipas. Tingly finish, slightly minty. The malt is more of a sweet character.
M: Sticky and sweet boozey mouthfeel; booze isn’t hot but definitely present. Soft carbonation, thick slick body.
O: On the boozier side from all the sugar, but it is still every bit as relatively balanced and flavorful as their other heavy hitter ipas. If anyone was to pull this concept off, it would be Altamont.

A dark gold color, light head and faint nose. Interesting malty taste with balanced bitterness throughout to keep the malt at bay. A little different and refreshing if you are in a same old same old rut.

Basically a thick, malty, yeasty mess. Looks like an amber, smells like an amber mixed with malt liquor, tastes like malt mixed with malt liquor and maple syrup, feels like beer mixed with maple syrup, overall not worth trying unless the only other option is malt liquor or maple syrup.
