Pours clear, west coast style. Big big big aroma, even from the first crack of the can. Catty and dank, onion and garlic greens on the nose. But in a good way. The sip follows suit with the aroma. Dry out the finish a little more, kick up the bitterness, and this would be more than allright.

So I definitely dig the label design and homage to a great movie. I think that is usually worth something in the look score.
Pours a light amber color on hole #1. You're damned right I drank this to start 18 holes (golf, and I have to say that being a Steel Panther fan lest we get confused). 2/5" white head. The aroma was, well, an ode to the namesake, as it was "catty". See: Simcoe hop. Hit of pine and dry pine needles beyond that cattiness.
Taste was much the same, a bit of a throwback if you will to those crystal malt and new (at the time) Simcoe hop ibu wars kind of turn back the clock evening. Usual bitter pine, grapefruit notes, hint of honey malt. Plenty of dryness in the mouth feel from the Simcoe I'm sure. Should mention some grassiness going on. Maybe it was because we were on grass, who knows, power of suggestion. All in all, its a serviceable beer, but below average for this brewery. But hey, you got it because we love Caddieshack and it does well in that regard.

Looks and smells great, but I think the gopher made it taste like grunge. I’ll skip this one the next time I look for Altamont brews. They do so much better than this!

Poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking golden bronzed copper color with a small cap of a little white foamy head swiftly dissipating to leave some sticky messy lace.
The aroma had a West Coast/maybe old school mentality to it. There was a strong piney scent flowing into a moderate honey slick sweetness. Nice West Coast IPA aftertaste of pine, biscuits, honey, floral character and some hop oils.
The flavor charged forward with the dryness of the floral sweetness and the honey sweetness. Biscuits, floral character, pine, and honey mesh together in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sessionable and being a sipper. That 6% seemed as projected. Good carbonation. Nice grip of bitterness then finishes with some floral and piney hops and a touch of honey and biscuits.
Overall, nicely done American IPA worthy of partaking in again.

Can. Beautiful CLEAR copper with lasting small head and some lace. Tropical fruit citrus and honey aroma with some pine. Medium honey toasted grainy sweetness with medium citrus and pine fairly long bitterness. Medium body just enough carbo to accentuate the hops nicely. TOTALLY EXCELLENT.

Served to me at Dad's Kitchen in Sacramento. I like this beer. My sweetie said Surly Furious clone, but I felt it had a bit more malt sweetness with the Surly hops.
