good clarity on this one, yellow and bright, obviously one of the weightier malt middle that bogs some of these down with body and sweetness. summery aroma through its thick white head, smells like citra and some other delicate floral varietals, not too much bitterness, and just a fresh light pale malt base. citrus forward nose, maybe some pils malt tossed in here too, it has that more flavorful grain base note, with a sort of resinous character for how light it all is, still decidedly west coast in character despite being lighter. i think its harder than people realize to scale a dank ipa back to session status, you always seem to lose something, being it grain flavor, hop distinctiveness, or bitterness, but this one does an excellent job of retaining the key ipa elements in a more drinkable brew. excellent carbonation here keeps it super drinkable, and the lighter body doesnt feel watery to me as a result. nicely crafted brew from altamont, who seems to have a very solid handle on the hoppy stuff. enjoyed outside on the patio at sessions in san fancisco.

A session IPA from tap at Whole Foods Blossom Hill in San Jose.
Pours a slightly hazy gold with a light head.
Aroma is mild with notes of resin.
Tasting notes of citrus, pine, with minimal bitterness.
A good session IPA that can go down all too quickly.
